Red River United President’s Committees
1) Establish committees that reflect Red River United’s diverse membership and appoint members to serve on these committees.
2) These committees will focus on three areas:
a. Educating the membership on issues specific to the committee. This may take the form of a committee newsletter, memo, leaflet, forum, or workshop, etc.
b. Crafting policies, resolutions or other actionable items to bring before policy makers (local school boards and the state legislature).
c. Engage and mobilize the RRU membership around these issues.
3) These committees will NOT be a drain on the already stretched time of our membership. Meetings may be conducted via conference call, email, video conferencing, or in person.
Red River United staff representatives, taking their direction from President Jackie Lansdale, will guide the committees.
Kindly, step forward and be a participant on one of these committees. This is YOUR union, and YOUR voice deserves to be heard!
