When candy and flowers are not enough
During Administrative Professionals Week, April 21-27, and on Administrative Professionals Day, April 24, tell the office staff at your school or college that you respect the work they do. “With almost 9 million Americans working in administrative support roles, you’d think employers would understand that candy and flowers are not enough thanks,” says PSRP chair Ruby Newbold, president of the Detroit Association of Educational Office Employees. “Instead of tokens, what administrative staff prefer is respect and professional development.”
