In-House Attorney – Patrick Woolbert
A Shreveport native, Patrick Woolbert, Esq. is the newest addition to the Red River United team. Mr. Woolbert earned his J.D. from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at LSU, and his B.A. in Psychology from Centenary College of Louisiana. While representing members of Red River United in grievance proceedings, Mr. Woolbert is able to analyze issues not only under school policy, but also according to Louisiana and Federal law. Mr. Woolbert is available to meet with you concerning your work-related issues, as well as other legal issues that you may have. Outside of his duties at Red River United, Mr. Woolbert operates a client-focused law practice, specializing in personal injury, criminal defense, estate planning, and divorce.

Brian Landry is a partner with Weems, Schimpf, Gilsoul, Haines, Landry & Carmouche (APLC). His civil litigation practice focuses on a wide range of legal disputes, with special concentration in the representation of professionals, including doctors and teachers. Mr. Landry also accepts referrals in succession litigation and construction litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Landry practiced with the insurance defense, railroad and energy firm of Wilkinson, Carmody, Gilliam & Hussey
Mr. Landry graduated from Louisiana State University’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 1992, being named to Who’s Who Among Law Students. His education included, a study abroad program in Aix-en-Provence, France. While in law school, Mr. Landry served as an officer in the Student Bar Association, and was active in the Christian Legal Society. While in law school, Mr. Landry clerked for Louisiana Governor Buddy Roemer, the Louisiana State Mineral Board and Hammonds & Sills, an education law firm.
Mr. Landry received his B.S. degree in secondary education in social studies from Louisiana State University in 1989. While at LSU, he was a member of several bands, including the Golden Band From Tigerland, where he played Sousaphone, and served as president of the band fraternity, Kappa Kappa Psi. Mr. Landry also served in the Student Government Association, receiving the President’s Award for Outstanding Service and Leadership.
Since starting his practice, Mr. Landry has remained active in many social, religious, and professional organizations, including, the Professional Liability Defense Federation, the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, the Defense Research Institute. He and his wife, Denise Aillet Landry, have three children. Mr. Landry’s advocation’s include sports officiating.

Paul was born in 1943 in Napoleonville, Louisiana. He received a B.A. from Nicholls State and his J.D. from Loyola University in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1969. While at Loyola, he was elected President of the Law School. Upon graduation from law school, he practiced law with a small civil law firm for four years handling all types of civil and criminal cases. From 1974 to 1977, Paul was an Assistant District Attorney handling trials of serious felony cases. From 1977 to 1978, he was Chief Counsel for the Caddo Indigent Defender’s Office. In 1978, Paul was elected District Attorney of Caddo Parish, Louisiana. After his first election, Paul was re-elected four (4) times and served as DA for a total of thirty years. As DA and as Chief Counsel for the Public Defender’s Office he tried hundreds of major cases in the state district courts. Paul has served on numerous Governor’s Commissions, including the Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement and the State Sentencing Guidelines Commission. Paul has lectured on trial tactics and rules of evidence at legal seminars, and he was elected President of the Louisiana District Attorney’s Association in 1984.
Paul is married to Marti Carmouche. They have two children, a daughter, Marianna, and a son, Matthew.
As DA for 30 Years and as Chief Counsel for the Public Defender’s Office he tried hundreds of major cases in the state district courts.
