Most Improved Student Celebration/M.I.S. Awards 2013

The Most Improved Student Celebration/M.I.S. Awards 2013 was a great success.  One student from each Caddo Parish School was recognized as the most improved student in the school. Students, their families, teachers, principals, staff, and other school officials shared in the celebration.

Students were chosen by their teachers, counselors, and administrators, because they had shown great improvement over the school year. They may have improved their grade point average in the second semester, or had fewer disciplinary problems, better attendance, or noticeably improved peer relations and respect for others. In each case, it was a remarkable experience for that child.

If you have a problem we are happy to discuss it with you at the school site or at our office in Shreveport. More than anything we consider ourselves family. Worksite Leaders

 

 It’s OUR Responsibility.

In Louisiana, and across the United States, public education is under attack. It’s up to us to

DEFEND OUR SCHOOLS

 The enemies of public education want to dismantle our public schools. They hide behind the name of “education reform” when what they really want to do is destroy our neighborhood schools.

They will succeed unless you take action. Are you ready to stand up for the kids you teach and take care of every day? Are you ready to stand up for your rights?

Worksite leaders are vital to our union. They are responsible for informing, listening to, and mobilizing Red River United members. Worksite leaders will help to plan and implement the strategies to protect and improve public education in Caddo and Bossier Parishes.

IF YOU OR SOMEONE YOU KNOW AT YOUR WORKSITE ARE:

• willing to engage with the other education professionals in your workplace.
